Gold Trifold Bloom
Gold Trifold Bloom
This piece began with a hydrangea from my own yard—
a flower once vivid, gathered as it entered its quiet decline.
The original hydrangea form was electroformed, then cast in sterling silver, and finally layered with 24k gold, preserving the fragile veins and softened contours of its three unfolding petals as a lasting trace. At the center rests a 3mm emerald, a small yet vivid point of green—suggesting life lingering beneath the surface, even after bloom.
Suspended on an oxidized sterling silver chain, adjustable from 16 to 18 inches, the pendant shifts gently with the body, moving between closeness and release.
Gold Trifold Bloom reflects a moment after fullness—
when form remains, memory lingers,
and beauty is held in what endures rather than what flourishes.
