Lingering Bloom

Lingering Bloom
Hydrangea forms cast in silver and brass, finished with layered patina, create a gentle arc along the collarbone. At a maximum length of 20 inches, the necklace rests just below the neckline, allowing each bloom to breathe in its own space.
Each flower begins with a real hydrangea petal, carefully preserved and transformed through electroforming and casting. The delicate veining of the original bloom is permanently captured in metal. Areas of oxidized blue-green patina echo the quiet shift of a flower at the end of its season, while polished silver petals reflect light in contrast—holding the memory of bloom rather than its peak.
Lingering Bloom is not about full blossom, but about what remains after.
It is a meditation on time, transition, and the quiet grace of staying.
Each piece is handmade. Subtle variations in tone and surface are inherent to the process and are embraced as part of the work’s character.
